Helen James is born and bred in the black country, and one of the most sought after soul and motown singers on the circuit. Having sung with the three degrees, boney m, the real thing and sir joe longthorne.

She can be seen regularly around the midlands performing with either of her bands The Detours motown and northern soul band or W!RED party band.
